Yes. The Cerberus LE Live Scan Harvester generates Electronic Fingerprint Transaction (EFT) files — the exact digital fingerprint format ATF accepts for eForm 4 (NFA transfers) and eForm 1 (making NFA items). The EFT file is attached directly to the applicant’s ATF eForms submission online.
Requirements vary by state. In most NFA-legal states, FFL dealers can provide NFA applicant fingerprinting without an additional fingerprinting license, since the prints are collected for a federal purpose (ATF form submission). However, some states have additional requirements. We verify your state’s rules before sale and provide full guidance.
The Cerberus LE supports fingerprinting for ATF Form 4 (NFA transfer from dealer or individual), ATF Form 1 (making/manufacturing an NFA item), and any other ATF application that requires a fingerprint card or EFT file. This covers suppressors, SBRs (short-barreled rifles), SBSs (short-barreled shotguns), machine guns, destructive devices, and AOWs (any other weapons).
A complete live scan session — collecting all 10 fingerprints, generating the EFT file, and confirming quality — typically takes 5 to 10 minutes. Far faster than ink card methods, and with significantly lower ATF rejection rates due to smudging or poor quality.
